GovernorHub Knowledge

GovernorHub Knowledge is an online resource and knowledge bank for school leaders and governors, providing clear, comprehensive help and resources. GovernorHub Knowledge, formerly known as The Key for School Governors, has supported Governors for Schools since 2012, and throughout this time, thousands of new governors have benefitted from their resources.

All our newly placed governors receive 12 months’ free access to GovernorHub Knowledge to support them in their new role.

TAP (Thank and Praise)

TAP is a free-to-use social thanking platform which enables parents and guardians to show their appreciation to school staff, enhancing their wellbeing.

Only positive messages are shared and there are no costs to schools.

TAP enables parents and guardians (and school staff) to:

  • Thank school staff privately via a GDPR-compliant messaging platform.
  • Praise schools publicly via a bespoke Digital Thanking Wall.
  • Raise funds for schools via a match funded donation platform.

Better Governor

Better Governor has supported our webinar programme since 2018, with governance experts Steve Barker and Linda Waghorn hosting regular sessions on a variety of key topics.

Better Governor combines real-life experience of governance and clerking in maintained schools and academy trusts with insight into education policy, legislation and practice relevant to governance.

Governors Cymru Services

Governors Cymru is a unique, independent support service in Wales that provides a range of services for school governors.

Governors Cymru offers a subscription-based package which includes access to a wealth of information on the roles and responsibilities of school governors, to keep you up to date and compliant, as well as saving you time and providing excellent value. This includes a support line, a user-friendly website, high quality online guidance, advice, and resource information, e-bulletins and briefing sessions, and much more. Additional services are also available.

Schools Advisory Service

Schools Advisory Service is a DfE-recommended supplier of staff absence protection and has served the education sector for over 25 years. The organisation’s tailored staff absence insurance policies can meet the individual requirements of schools, academies, federations, and multi-academy trusts via flexible cover.

As well as ensuring schools are financially supported when absences occur, SAS takes an active approach to preventing and reducing staff absences through an extensive Health and Wellbeing Service. SAS also offers a range of Pupil Wellbeing Services designed to comply with the Ofsted assessment framework.
